Your First Visit
We will perform your comprehensive dental exam with a gentle touch and your comfort always in mind. Your first exam will include:
- Discussion of your concerns and desires
- Review of dental/medical history
- Diagnostic digital X-Rays
- TMJ, head and neck exam
- **VELscope oral cancer screening
- Mouth tour with intra-oral camera
- Periodontal (gum) disease evaluation
- Tooth decay evaluation
- Digital radiographs (x-rays)
- Examination of existing dental work

After careful evaluation, the doctor will explain your treatment needs and discuss treatment options. Patients with more extensive treatment needs are invited back for a more in-depth consultation with the doctor. In addition to a review of the various treatment choices, you will have an opportunity to go over any insurance or payment plans. The additional consultation time is free, as part of your comprehensive examination. The more involved you are in making dental health decisions, the more comfortable you will be.
